A Wolf found it difficult to reach the sheep because of the shepherd’s watchful eye and his dogs. One day, the Wolf discovered the skin of a sheep that had been flayed and discarded. The Wolf put on the sheep’s skin and mingled among the flock. The Lamb belonging to the sheep whose skin the Wolf wore began to follow him. Leading the Lamb away from the flock, the Wolf quickly devoured her. For a while, the Wolf enjoyed hearty meals by deceiving the sheep with his disguise.
